Summer Visit: “Dunsden Nature Reserve Culm Grassland, wild flowers and butterflies”.
Steve Threlkeld, Reserves Officer of the Devon Wildlife Trust will be leading a Walk at Dunsdon National Nature Reserve OS SS 302 080) near Pancrasweek, Holsworthy, EX22 7JW.
We hope to see the rare endangered marsh fritillary butterfly, fields of purple moor grass and orchids. Some 189 species of flowering plant have been counted here including lesser butterfly orchids, petty whin and whorled caraway.
There is an optional pre-booked lunch at the Rydon Inn, Bude Road, Holsworthy EX22 7HU
Advance booking is essential no later than 18th May as numbers will be limited. Free for members, non-members £2. Car sharing is encouraged as parking space is limited.
