A visit to Musbury, East Devon (History Section)

A day out at Musbury (East Devon). Starting at 2p.m. there will be two talks about events in the Axe valley (a possible battle, and a lost port). Either before or after the talks there will be opportunities to visit the parish church, with its very unusual memorial (which was cleaned and conserved in 2023) to three generations of the Drake family, and to walk up to Musbury castle (an iron age hill fort, with panoramic views across the lower Axe valley).
