A Walking Tour of Exeter’s Interesting Bridges (IA Section)

Thu. 26 September 2019 at 10:30 am

£3 – £5

A walking tour of Exeter’s interesting bridges with Bill Harvey.

Bill is a structural engineer with a passionate, lifelong interest in the history and construction of bridges. Exeter provides a rich variety of bridges with which he will illustrate his tour. Most of the bridges are in the centre of Exeter, though there will be an option to share car rides to examine the railway bridge at Cowley.

Meet at 10.30 at the City Gate Inn (EX4 3RB, at the south end of the Iron Bridge). The end of the tour is anticipated at about 1 pm with the option of a pub lunch, possibly at the Stables Inn at Cowley. Toilets available at the City Gate Inn.

No registration is required. Cost: £3 for DA members and £5 for non-members.
