Annual social event (Tavistock Branch)
Fri. 20 January 2023 at 7:30 pm
£12
Our Branch annual social event. It will be three years since our last social evening and it will be good to get together again!
Unfortunately, the video by Marc Hoskins about Dartmoor Signage will not be ready for this event as previously advertised; it will now be shown at a later date.
Instead, Wyn Cudlip will give a talk entitled:
Saxon Ancestors and Worldwide Descendants of Cudlipptown, a small settlement near Peter Tavy and Tavistock.
Wyn writes “I’m not a history expert, but will be happy to present the results of some of my research into our Saxon heritage, and describe some colourful characters who have left our small corner of Devon and left their mark around the world.”
For just £12 you will get an excellent buffet meal with liquid accompaniment, interesting chat, and a talk.
