Bolberry Down (Botany Section)
Fri. 3 June 2022 at 10:30 am
Meet at National Trust Bolberry Down car park (SX6888.3854).
We hope to see Cytisus scoparius ssp. maritimus Prostrate Broom in its newly discovered South Devon site. Asplenium obovatum Lanceolate Spleenwort, Trifolium incarnatum ssp. molinerii Long-headed Clover, Carex punctata Dotted Sedge and much more.
The walk will take us along the coast path to Soar Mill Cove and to the mires on the slopes just beyond, then back to the car park by way of the dry valley which also has considerable botanical interest.
Parking is free to National Trust members, £3.00 to non-members payable by coin or phone app.
Non-members are welcome. Bring packed lunch, appropriate footwear and clothing, as well as sufficient water, sun-block, insect repellent or other essentials required for a day outdoors.
Please contact the leader (Organiser, below) if you wish to attend – meeting details can sometimes change at short notice and if the weather forecast looks poor the meeting may have to be cancelled. You should also check with the leader if you wish to bring your dog.
