Braunton Burrows and preparations for D Day (Bideford & N Devon Branch)

Dave worked on countryside and coast issues across north Devon for 40 years prior to retirement in 2023, latterly as Project Officer within the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. His talk will detail how Braunton Burrows, a nationally important area for biodiversity, was used for military training during WW2 and how its subsequent management is restoring its importance for nature.
