Coldharbour Mill (IA Section)

Thu. 14 October 2021 at 2:30 pm

To be held by Zoom video conferencing.

A talk “Coldharbour Mill in the Context of the Industrial Revolution”, given by Peter Fisher.

The talk is an overview of the development of Coldharbour Mill, at Uffculme in Devon, in the context of the Industrial Revolution.  The mill saw processing of wool and the production of fabric both by hand and by machine.   Its site evolved over time as different power sources were employed.

Peter Fisher has worked and volunteered at Coldharbour Mill for several years, and has a particular interest in its history. He is one of the mill’s tour guides.
