Dawlish Seafront Walk (Exeter Branch)
8 August 2018 at 2:00 pm
During this one and a half hour stroll along Dawlish seafront, we will learn about the transformation of the town from a medieval agricultural community to a fashionable watering place and a modern seaside resort; its geological setting between majestic red cliffs, whose sedimentary rocks contain evidence of their origin in a semi-arid desert; and the impact of the railway and the damage inflicted upon it during extreme weather conditions in early 2014.
Gather outside Dawlish railway station at 2pm.
Booking is required.
