Decorating Exeter with Aylwyn Bowen
During the last few years permanent arrays of large, poster-style panels have appeared in Exeter city centre, most of them featuring a single historic Exeter building portrayed as a simplified, stylised rendition in bold vibrant colours. Others are collages containing juxtaposed landmarks characteristic of various city quarters.
These posters were created by commercial designer, illustrator and poster specialist, Aylwyn Bowen. Besides decorating Exeter streets, he has designed over twenty new Gateway signs for roads leading to the city.
The entrance fee, including tea and biscuits, is £3 pp for DA members and £5 pp for non-members. No booking required.
