An illustrated talk by Robert Hesketh.

Robert is a freelance writer with a strong interest in local history. In this illustrated talk, he will describe how railways have had a profound effect on the landscape of Devon, providing a rich and varied heritage. He will explain how this heritage can be seen today in our remaining main lines and branch lines, preserved railways and cliff railways and how some of the past is preserved in walkways and cycleways following the old track routes.

DA members and non-members are welcome to attend.

Admission £2 members, £3 non-members, payable by card or cash at the door
