Thu. 20 April 2023 - Fri. 21 April 2023
£50
Event Navigation
Roger Higgs is a geologist who does geology walks in the Bude area commercially. His draft plan for this visit is to take us on two walks, the first from 12pm to 4pm on Thursday 20th April, the second from 10am to 2pm on Friday 21st. This allows people from distant parts of the county to travel to Bude on Thursday morning and then return on Friday afternoon with one night’s stay in a B&B on Thursday 20th. It would be for individuals to book a B&B themselves if they require it. Those attending would probably eat supper together at the Brendon Arms on Thursday evening.
Based on there being a dozen people wanting to come on such a trip the cost per person would be £50. To this you must add your travel and accommodation costs.
The dates chosen have spring tides to enable us to go onto the beaches for part of the walks. Be aware this may mean walking two hours along a beach then two hours back along the clifftop path, so this trip will not suit those who are very slow. The beaches are however sandy and not difficult to traverse.
Due to the limited number of spaces this visit is open to members of the DA only. If you would like to attend please contact the organiser (details below).
