A Zoom talk presented by Viv Styles, artist and heritage advocate.

Revd William Keble Martin and his Concise British Flora
As an ordained vicar, Keble Martin moved to Devon after the First World War and studied the flowering plants around the parishes where he served. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the publication of The Concise British Flora, the Granite Elements art group has put together an artistic response to the flora of East Dartmoor, inspired by Keble Martin’s seminal work.
Viv Styles has lived in Bovey Tracey since 2002 and has taken an active interest in the heritage of the area. As a practising artist she works with others to forge links between art, culture and the heritage of East Dartmoor to develop a sense of place and highlight aspects of the unique history of this area of Devon.
Please book with the organiser (details below) by a day before the event. You will be sent a link to access the Zoom session. There is no charge for DA members; the price for non-members is £2.50.
This talk is part of The Devonshire Association Monthly Lecture Series – a programme of talks on a wide range of topics presented by informed and respected speakers throughout the year using Zoom technology.
