Marine life in South-West England: highlights, change and threats (Tavistock Branch)

A talk by Dr Keith Hiscock from Plymouth Marine Biological Association. The presentation is based on  information generated for the annual ‘State of South-West Seas’ report covering various marine topics such as oceanography, ecology and management.

Dr Hiscock has been studying marine life in the South-West since his school days in Ilfracombe. His studies have included much work for the nature conservation agencies over the past 50 or so years. After ‘retiring’ from paid work he has continued to contribute to marine biological studies and was awarded an MBE in the King’s New Year Honours for ‘Services to Marine Conservation’.
