Steve Knightley – Songs inspired by Devon (Music Section)

An illustrated talk by Steve Knightley, a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter/musician, and founder member of the acclaimed Devonshire folk and roots trail-blazers ‘Show of Hands’.

Informed by a love of traditional folk song, Knightley writes historically accurate songs that resonate with contemporary meaning, and has built a reputation in grounding his songs in geographical place, notably the West Country where he still lives.

For this informal event at The Plough Arts Centre in Great Torrington, Steve will give us a glimpse into the writing and creating of some of his songs, providing his own instrumental accompaniments and weaving in stories and anecdotes.
