Event Navigation
Dr Mateo Ruiz will give a talk entitled “Restoring the balance: the work of The Barn Owl Trust”.
Dr Ruiz will discuss the work of the Barn Owl Trust, a UK charity which aims to conserve the Barn Owl and its environment. The species is under significant threat from habitat loss and pesticide exposure. The Trust carries out practical conservation, research and educational work, advises farmers, government and landowners, and runs a free information service. It also looks after sick and injured owls in a genuine owl sanctuary – a place of peaceful retreat.
This replaces the previously announced talk on climate change by David Ramsden.
DA members £2, non-members are welcome at £3. Refreshments included.
The meeting will be followed by a quick Branch AGM at 8:30pm.
