The Bideford, Westward Ho! and Appledore Railway (Bideford Branch)

A talk by local historian David Carter who will be taking you on a journey along the line of this old railway, which was closed in 1917. On the way, he will be looking at its history, where the tracks used to run and how much of its route can be seen today. There will be plenty of old maps and photographs to guide you through what should be a fascinating presentation.
