A talk “The History of Bideford Grammar School” to be given by Dr John Bennett who attended the school in the 1960’s and went on to gain his BSc in Geology at Exeter University, MSc in Mineral Chemistry at Birmingham and PhD in Geology at St Andrews.

He will be talking about the long history of Bideford Grammar School which was founded around 1617 and continued up to 1975 when the 11+ selection procedure was abandoned and Bideford School and Community College formed.
