The Memorials in Tawstock Church (Buildings Section)

A talk by Dr Clive Easter who is an expert on church monuments and has been active in the Church Monuments Society since 1986. St Peter’s Church at Tawstock was described by Pevsner as the most architecturally interesting church in North Devon. It has a large and unique collection of monuments and memorials and has been dubbed the “Westminster Abbey of Devon”. The Buildings Section hopes to arrange a guided tour of St Peter’s next summer.
The talk will be followed at c. 3.15 pm by the Buildings Section Annual General Meeting.

Please don’t worry if you are not familiar with the Zoom software. It is quite straightforward to use and does not involve any expense. There is also the ability to join the meeting by phone. You will be able to log in a few minutes before the start of the lecture.
