The Memorials in Tawstock Church (Buildings Section)

A talk by Dr Clive Easter who is an expert on church monuments and has been active in the Church Monuments Society since 1986. St Peter’s Church at Tawstock was described by Pevsner as the most architecturally interesting church in North Devon. It has a large and unique collection of monuments and memorials and has been dubbed the “Westminster Abbey of Devon”. The Buildings Section hopes to arrange a guided tour of St Peter’s next summer.
The talk will be followed at c. 3.15 pm by the Buildings Section Annual General Meeting.
