Thomas Mudge the famous Horologist (Bideford & N Devon Branch)

A talk by David Thompson entitled “Thomas Mudge the famous Horologist from Bideford”.

David is a Senior Curator for horological collections at the British Museum and will talk about the life of Thomas Mudge who was raised in Bideford. Following apprenticeship in London Mudge went on to become one of the most celebrated watch, clock and chronometer makers in 18th century England.
