Visit to Bradley Manor, Newton Abbot (Buildings Section)
Tue. 8 September 2026
Event Navigation
Tucked away in the secluded valley of the River Lemon on the outskirts of Newton Abbot is Bradley Manor, a 15th century time-capsule. The Egyptologist Cecil Firth and his artist wife, Freda, who bought it in 1909, uncovered some of Bradley’s hidden secrets, and more have been revealed during restoration work by the National Trust.
A guided tour, in small groups led by knowledgeable volunteers, will last about an hour. NT members will be admitted free of charge.
Further details, including tour times and the cost for non-NT members, will be provided nearer the time. Please note there are no public facilities on site, approach paths to the property and internal floors are uneven, and the staircases steep. Limited on-site parking is by prior arrangement for blue badge holders only.
