Visit to Hartland Abbey (Bideford & N Devon Branch)

A visit to the wonderful Hartland Abbey where the ancestors of the Keeper of Henry VIII’s wine cellars still live today. If you have visited before, a return visit will be so worthwhile because many of the exhibitions have been revitalised and some new ones arranged, so there is plenty to see and enjoy. 

We hope that Sir Hugh Stuckley will be available to show us around and be able to give us a short talk in the Dining Room at the start of the tour. You can of course visit the gardens and take the woodland walk down to the beach as well.

Light lunches and cream teas are available in the Old Kitchen Tea Rooms but if you wish to eat there it is advisable to book in advance on 01237 440044.
