Visit to Northam Burrows Country Park (Bideford Branch)

Wed. 25 May 2022 at 1:30 pm

£3

A Guided Walk in Spring with Rose Roberts – a follow up to her talk given on 18 March.

Northam Burrows Country Park lies at the western edge of the Taw Torridge Estuary within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Burrows forms an integral part of North Devon’s UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with 253 hectares of grassy coastal plain, salt marsh, sand dunes and generally unimproved grasslands and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

There will be a tour of the new Visitor Centre and a gentle walk (approx 1 mile) to finish at the Pebbleridge Kitchen. This is the new cafe beside the Visitor Centre. At this time of year there should be plenty of flowers as well as birds and insects to see.

The walk will commence at 1.30pm at the visitor centre and members will be asked to contribute to parking on arrival at concessionary rate of £3.

Advanced booking is required. Further details and booking forms will be available.

Please contact the Organiser before 18th May 2022.
