Cancelled – A visit to Seaton Tramway (IA Section)

A visit to Seaton Tramway to ride from Seaton to Colyton and return. During the return journey we will take the opportunity to visit the tramway’s Riverside Depot.

Meet at Seaton Station at 2.00 pm to take the 2.20 pm tram to Colyton and return on the 3.20 pm service.

Parking

• Underfleet Carpark, Long stay. EX12 2WD. Approximately 3-minute walk to the Station. Those in need of accessible parking should park here.
• Seaton Town Hall Long Stay, EX12 2WE. Approximately 3-minute walk to the Station.

Note that the car park at Seaton is a Pay and Display, run by East Devon District Council. Although the tramway recommends parking for three hours or longer at peak times, it is suggested that even without having lunch in Seaton, that might be tight by the time we’ve been round the workshop. The organiser will be booking four hours to be certain. Parking can also be found on Seaton Esplanade, on the seafront.

Those wishing to visit the Gift Shop, Tramstop Café or the town of Colyton, please allow for this when you pay for parking at the Seaton car park. Lunch may be obtained at the Tramstop Café or at a number of facilities in the town.

A reduced fare has been negotiated: £12.25 including the TicketSource booking fee. We must have at least 12 people to receive this fare; if there are 30 of us we will get exclusive use of a tram – if we get 40+ it will be two trams!

BOOKING IN ADVANCE IS ESSENTIAL. Please book using TicketSource here. Please note that bookings must be made before 6p.m. on Tuesday 8th July as final numbers need to be given to the operator.

The DA’s standard cancellation policy will apply:

• Cancellations received two weeks or more before the event start date, a full refund will be offered.
• Cancellations received one week before the event start date, a 50% refund will be offered.
• Cancellations received within one week of the event start date, no refund will normally be offered.
