Visit to the Plaz Metaxu garden (Lit & Art Section)

A visit to the Plaz Metaxu garden at Coombe House, near Witheridge.

This is a particularly fine example of modern landscape design and has been described as ‘Devon’s most exciting garden’ and as ‘one of the most original gardens made in Britain in recent times’.

Influenced by Greek mythology, poetry and post-Jungian psychology, it has been created since 1992 by Alasdair Forbes. He will lead the tour, which will take about two hours.

Cost £20, including tea and refreshments. Numbers are limited. Booking now open – contact Organiser.  Update 6th May 2025 – very few places remain available.
