Visits to two dairy farms (IA Section)

Wed. 27 September 2023 at 10:30 am

£5 – £7

Agriculture is the largest industry in Devon, and it has changed rapidly over the past few years.  We felt it important to explore the history and changes through a series of field visits and talks.

Agriculture Industry: Event One

Visits to two different dairy farms to contrast fully automated feeding and milking with an organic more traditional farm and judge the condition and health of the animals.

  • Meet 10.30 at Mountstephen Farm,  Waterloo Cross.
  • Lunch 12.30/1.00 at Keepers Cottage, Dulford.
  • Meet at 2.00/2.30 at Upton Farm, Clyst St Lawrence/Clyst Hydon.

Gum boots or stout shoes are recommended.

DA members £5, non-members £7.  Lunch extra of course. Book please in advance with the Organiser, who will provide full details.
