Westcountry Women of Science (IA Section)

Tue. 3 November 2026 at 2:30 pm

£3 – £5

Speaker Colin White of the Industrial Archaeology Section presents Westcountry Women of Science, a sister talk to his very popular Quartet of Engineers and Scientists, this time with the gender balance redressed.

He will introduce four remarkable female engineers and scientists who carried out pioneering work that made a lasting impact in their fields. Yet, despite their achievements, they were often underrated and unappreciated, and today remain largely unknown.

DA members: £3. Non-members: £5.
